EKATERINA MELNIKOVA

International   concert organist, composer

Born of a leading Moscow music family, Ekaterina Melnikova’s early talent was nurtured by the best of the Russian musical tradition. Her performance career includes important venues in Russia, the Middle East and Europe. 2005-2008 she worked as an organist Titulaire of Moscow RC Cathedral , between 2003 and 2008 Ekaterina was teaching organ improvisation at the Russian Gnessin Academy of Music and between 2000 and 2014 the was Organ Soloist at the Moscow State Philharmonia.

In 2008 Ekaterina started in collaboration with Aedus-Design Studio to present organ projects in  the new format.

She was commissioned to write music for several state important cultural venues:

  • ”Royal Fanfare” for Inauguration concert ceremony of the new Gtatter Gotz Organ  on Historical stage of Bolshoi Theatre (2013),
  • “Hymn” on Christina Rossetti poem for the solemn opening of the Exhibition (2013)
  • “Pre-Raphaelits- Victorian Avangard” in Pushkin State Museum of  the Fine Arts (2013)
  • “Светлый Отрок» for men,s Choir and Russian Bells for the Exhibition of   “300 Grand Russian Icons” in Moscow Central Exhibition Hall “Manege” (2014)
